Sarah Chalke’s getting a new sis on How I Met Your Mother.Former One Tree Hill bad girl Danneel Harris (the one on the left) has replaced ex-Summerland beauty Sara Paxton (the one on the right) as Stella’s sib Nora, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Although showrunners Craig Thomas and Carter Bays adored Paxton (whose hiring was first reported by my buddy Mitovich over at TVGuide.com), a Mother insider says the duo felt the part called for a slightly older actress. “They want to find another role for [Sara] on the show,” confides my source.
Harris’ episode is slated to air during November sweeps and coincides with the arrival of The Daily Show’s Jason Jones as Stella’s ex and the father of her kid. Apparently, everyone’s in town for a wedding or something.
In other news, for reasons I can’t get into right now, I’m slowly backing away from my prediction that Stella is Mother’s infamous mum.
