As part of Saturday’s all-day celebration for the recent re-opening of St. John the Divine, the high-wire master Philippe Petit, artist-in-residence and subject of the recent documentary “Man on Wire,” gave a half-hour show at the cathedral in the afternoon.

As part of the show Petit put a short tightrope performance – with an assist from several people in the crowd, including former “X-Files” star David Duchovny (in brown jacket.)
