Minka Kelly of Friday Night Light’s fame has been cast as the female lead in the CW pilot  ‘Body Politics.’   Minka will play Hope, an all-American girl who leaves her life in Michigan after the death of her mother and heads to D.C., where her long-lost dad, Sen. Webster (Tim Matheson), has just been appointed Attorney General, and takes a job on his staff.

The cast also includes: Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars), Gabrielle Union, Jay Hernandez, and Brian Austin Green.

Minka was also included in a reenactment of ‘West Side Story’  for Vanity Fair with a lot of Hollywood’s A-List.  Camilla Belle, Ashley Tisdale, Jay hernandez, Jennifer Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, Brittany Snow, Robert Pattison and many more. Minka was on the side of ‘The Sharks.’
