Here’s the cover art and a little information about the second season of the CW’s hit series, Gossip Girl.

Over a month ago we let you know that Amazon was taking early pre-orders for Gossip Girl – The Complete 2nd Season on DVD. The folks at Warner Home Video hadn’t formally announced the title yet, however, so no release date was provided. This morning Warner officially put it on the schedule, though, and we’re happy to tell you that you can mark this set on your calendar for August 18th.

You’ll get all 25 second season episodes on 7 DVDs. Video is listed as widescreen, and audio in English Dolby Surround 5.1 with an option for English subtitles. Bonus material, if any, wasn’t mentioned with this morning’s initial info. Cost is $59.98 SRP. Here’s a new 3D look at the packaging:
