After watching Lady Gaga turn the musical world on its ear in the past year, it would be hard to believe she could actually lose the American Music Awards (AMAs) Breakthrough Artist award, but these things happen. Ask Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert. Sure things are not necessarily sure things when decisions are placed in the hands of the “vote as many times as you like” crowd, but, then, when has a “sure thing” ever been an absolute? But if anyone deserves an award, Lady Gaga deserves the AMAs Breakthrough Artist award for 2009. Just look what Lady Gaga has accomplished leading into the 2009 American Music Awards… More?
