In 2008 Freema was part of a 14 part BBC series entitled “Little Dorrit” (based on the Charles Dickens serial novel). The show won seven Emmy Awards and was nominated for a Golden Globe. Freema played Tattycoram, an orphaned girl living with the prestigious Meagle family, for the duration of eight episodes. The show also starred Freema’s Law & Order co-stars Bill Patterson and Harriet Walter – which was quite surreal to watch.
