After taking some time away from her music career to focus on acting, Hilary Duff has announced that she’s finally ready to start work on music again within the next few months.

The 22-year-olds last album Dignity was released in 2007 and failed to match the commercial success of her previous efforts, but it did end up becoming a surprising hit with critics. Since then Hilary’s been busy filming a slew of independent films to try and prove to the world that she’s a ‘real’ actress, as well as making appearances on Gossip Girl, Law & Order and Ghost Whisperer to pay the bills.

Currently now without a record deal after leaving Hollywood Records, Duff’s last foray into music was the song “Any Other Day” from the soundtrack to her film What Goes Up. The song was released independently and penned by Hil herself, following a more alternative-electronica sound which hadn’t really been heard from her during her stint at Hollywood Records.

To say that this is the best news ever would probably be the biggest understatement in the history of the world. I still spin Dignity regularly to this day and it’s one of my favorite pop albums ever (just check out my gushing review here). Hil then knocked my socks off again with the release of “Any Other Day”, so I’m positive that her new album will be quality pop even if it isn’t a huge commercial success.

Michelle attended the premiere and photocall for Shutter Island at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. I’ve posted tons of pictures and I’m still finding more, so keep checking back! Variety is reporting that Madonna is set to direct W.E., a biopic about the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson that led to the British royal abdicating from the throne to marry his divorcee lover.

Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) is in talks for the role of Simpson, who precipitated the most severe constitutional crisis in the English monarchy in the 20th century after Edward proposed to her, only months into his reign.

There is no word yet on who will play King Edward.

The King’s desire to marry a twice-divorced American with two living ex-husbands caused a constitutional crisis in the United Kingdom and the Dominions, which ultimately led to the King’s abdication in December 1936 to marry “the woman I love.”[3] After the abdication, the former king was created Duke of Windsor by his brother George VI. Edward married Wallis six months later, after which she was formally known as the Duchess of Windsor, without the style “Her Royal Highness.”

Madonna is writing the script with Alex Keshishian (Truth or Dare). Colin Vaines and David Parfitt are producing.

Welcome back to Michelle Trachtenberg Fan! As you can see we have a new layout up and I hope that you all like it more than the previous one. I, myself, had some truoble with some of the coding so I made a new one for you to enjoy!

So, what’s new with the site? Well, Me and Anula will try to work out all the content and to launch the Video Archive. Hopefully the video archive will be online this coming week. And we will also try to get some Buffy caps up and all the missing Mercy. So for now, enjoy the new look and come back to see the site grow.
