They split up six months ago after two years together – but 25-year-old American Seyfried is missing her London lover.
‘I miss London so much,’ she said. ‘Growing up and out of things, it’s always… like… s***ty. Moving on. Changes are hard. I don’t mind talking about him. It was a really great part of my life.’
And she insisted that she had left the door open for 32-year-old The History Boys actor Cooper.
‘You never know. That’s the thing,’ she told Marie Claire magazine.
Seyfried explained distance and mistrust drove a wedge between the pair before revealing she used to think the heart-throb was gay.
‘Never date somebody who doesn’t live in your country. It’s heartbreaking and confusing and makes you go a little bit nuts,’ she claimed. ‘You don’t know where they sleep at night. You start second-guessing everything.’

Recalling her first impression of Cooper, she added: ‘For some reason, I thought he was gay. I quickly learned he wasn’t and I fell head over heels in love with him.’
And on rumours that she enjoyed a fling with Gosford Park actor Ryan Phillippe, she described herself as ‘woefully f***ing single’.
Meanwhile, she admitted she can be a bad girl too by revealing she has a rude tattoo on her foot. The ink job is a result of a pact made with British Mamma Mia! cast mates Rachel McDowall and Ashley Lilley. Something she may live to regret. She has the word ‘minge’ on her sole after Pierce Brosnan taught her the crude British slang.
