The ever-gorgeous Rachel Bilson is this year’s InStyle Makeover cover girl!

In the issue, the 29-year-old (she turns 30 on the 25th!) shares some secrets about her fashion philosophy. “I know this sounds terribly shallow, but I’ve been mapping out my outfits for the next day every day since I was little, even before high school,” Bilson says. “I have a very busy mind—there’s constant chitter-chatter up there—but what I’m wearing the next day? That’s definitely something that’s always been in my head before I go to sleep at night.” Soon, we’ll be seeing lots more of Bilson (and her amazing style) as she returns to television this fall with a new lighthearted drama, Hart of Dixie. “I get to be tough and sassy and sarcastic—all that good stuff,” Bilson says of playing surgeon Dr. Zoe Hart on the show. “And I deliver a baby!”

Also we have some updates on The Silver Linings Playbook:

David O. Russell will round up an impressive cast to star in his next feature, an adaptation of The Silver Linings Playbook.  The details of who this will be exactly are still murky.  Mark Wahlberg was ready to make this his fourth collaboration with Russell, but a delay in production created a scheduling conflict.  Deadline believes Wahlberg is dropping out because of his commitment to Broken City.

On the positive side, the report confirms Jennifer Lawrence for the female lead — she reportedly beat out Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough, and Olivia Wilde for the sought-after role.  In fact, it was Lawrence’s need to shoot The Hunger Games that delayed the schedule beyond Wahlberg’s availability.  Bradley Cooper is resuming talks for the now-vacant role after he  attached with  Anne Hathaway in the early stages of development.  New to the Playbook is Robert De Niro, in negotiations for a role that would the actor reunite with his Limitless co-star (and his would-be Uncharted director).  There is no update on Angelina Jolie’s potential involvement with the project, so I wouldn’t count on it.

EXCLUSIVE: Reese Witherspoon has attached herself to star in Wish List, a Disney comedy about an overly imaginative little girl who makes ten wishes at a wishing well. They don’t come true because her coin never reached the bottom and eventually she loses her inner child and becomes a full grown and ambitious career woman. Some 25 years later, the coin is dislodged, falls to the bottom and she has to deal with the ramifications of 10 kid wishes coming true all at once. The script’s being written by Randi Mayem Singer. Wish List is being produced by Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray, who most recently produced Secretariat for the studio. The comedy was initially developed as a vehicle for a male star, but now it’s being retooled for Witherspoon, who was last seen in Water for Elephants. She next stars in the McG-directed This Means War opposite Chris Pine and Tom Hardy for Fox. Witherspoon’s repped by CAA and Management 360, Singer by ICM.

Taking their romance for a ride, Emma Roberts and her beau of a couple weeks Chord Overstreet were spotted spending time together at the 14th Annual Super Saturday Event, in Watermill, New York on July 30.

The 20-year-old “Scream 4″ actress and the 22-year-old “Glee,” hunk couldn’t stop smiling as they took to a high-flying carnival ride, laughing and chatting as the attraction swung them round and round.

Earlier in the day, Emma sported the same stunning beige maxi dress as she snapped pictures with talk show host Kelly Ripa. The pair teamed up for co-hosting duties of the charitable event, which benefits the Ovarian Cancer Research fund, alongside fashion powerhouse Donna Karan and InStyle magazine.
