NBC is giving new comedy series Up All Night and Whitney a major vote of confidence with early full-season pickups.

Meanwhile, low-rated new drama Playboy is being pulled and will be replaced by Brian Williams’ new primetime newsmagazine.

“We made comedy an important goal for us this season and I’m very pleased to be making full-season commitments to both ‘Whitney’ and ‘Up All Night’,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt said. “We’re thrilled with the creative direction of both shows as well as the potential for them to continue to build loyal audiences over the coming months. We’re proud of all of the producers, writers, actors, and directors who have worked so hard to bring these shows to life.”

It’s been a great week for all Isabel Lucas fans for sure! We started it of by learning that Isabel was gracing not only one, or two, but three magazine covers – Jalouse Magazine, ASOS Magazine and Tatler Magazine! The staff at Isabel Lucas Inspired has already managed to get a hold of scans from the first two ones mentioned, including screencaptures from a “Behind the scenes” featurette during the photoshoot for ASOS. All scans + outtakes are to be found in the galleries at Isabel Lucas Inspired – a sure must see for all Izzy fans!

Isabel has also taken part in a one-month voyage to highlight the plight of our environment along with fellow activists, called TransparentSea. A photo from the voyage has been added to our galleries, and you can read more about it at our site here!

All smiles as she gets to work on her latest project, Reese Witherspoon was spotted on the Arkansas set of “Mud” over the weekend (October 2).

Sporting what appeared to be a pair of black eyes, the casually clad “Water for Elephants” actress showed off her fit figure in a loose blue tank top and cut-off jean shorts.

As it was recently announced, Reese has joined the cast of “Mud” where she’ll act alongside Matthew McConaughey and Tye Sheridan.

According to the film’s description, the movie centers around “a charismatic fugitive named Mud (McConaughey) and his unlikely friendship with fourteen year old Ellis (Sheridan). Ellis is determined to help his new friend escape from both the law and some very serious bounty hunters, in order to reunite Mud with his soul mate, Juniper (Reese Witherspoon).”

FOX’s Terra Nova is now in its second week and still going strong. Screen captures of yesterday’s episode 1×03 “Instinct” have been added to the gallery. I am glad to say that the show is very much sticking with the family drama focus. Shelley is wonderful to watch as Elisabeth. The press release for next week’s episode “What Remains” can be found below or you can watch a preview on youtube.

When Elisabeth, Jim, Malcolm and Taylor investigate radio silence at a nearby scientific outpost, they discover an outbreak of a mysterious virus causing memory loss, paranoia and eventually death. The group must work together to find a cure before they lose their sanity and all of Terra Nova is infected in the all-new “What Remains” episode of TERRA NOVA premiering Monday, Oct. 10 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
