Nick Carter’s younger sister Leslie passed away at the age of 25 on Tuesday in Buffalo, NY where many are reporting is where she was visiting family. The death comes to a shock to the family and fans. Leslie leaves behind a husband of 3 years and a barely one year old baby girl. No word yet as to how she died. E News reported that a autopsy had been done and show no signs of trauma. It may take 4-6 weeks before a toxicology report is complete.
Leslie had appeared alongside her siblings on the reality show House of Carters in 2006. She was also a singer who had her single “Like Wow” featured in the Shrek soundtrack in 2001.
The Carter family released this statement to Access Hollywood late Tuesday.
“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter,” the Carter family said in a statement to Access on Tuesday night. “We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”
Nick who had just started a solo tour this past Sunday left a statement on his official site that the tour will continue and be dedicated to his sister.
Nick Carter is thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time. We want to let the fans know the tour will go on as promised. “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform.” Also, we ask that the press respects Nick’s privacy during his time of grief.
Aaron Carter who was currently in the off Broadway show the Fantasticks has postponed a his performance at this time due to this tragedy to spend time with his family.
