I’ve updated the gallery with screencaps of Michelle as Lana in Land of Plenty. I thought Michelle did a wonderful job with this role. It really is a must-see movie for her fans. The are over 900 screencaps from the movie, plus seven deleted scenes, dvd menus, and a “Making Of” feature. I also added a few stills, posters, dvd artwork, and an on the set pic.

I’ve posted scans of Michelle on the cover and inside the October issue of Vogue. I’ve also uploaded a video to the media archive of Michelle behind the scenes at the photoshoot. Michelle’s best friend and Dawson’s Creek co-star Busy Phillips was on the set and Michelle talks about their friendship.

x Public Events: Last Uploads

Michelle will be gracing the cover of Vogue’s October issue, promoting Shutter Island. She shows off her new haircut in a beautiful photoshoot by Mario Testino, and there is an in depth interview inside. There is a preview of the interview on Vogue’s website. I will post scans of the full interview as soon as I can get my hands on the issue. Thanks to Celebutopia for the higher res photoshoot pics.

“Women and kids really got us through the winter. One got me gardening in the spring, and that’s when it started to turn around. I think it’s something about being in nature that made it more possible. I remember being on my hands and knees. The ground was cold and muddy. I pushed back the dead leaves and saw the bright green shoots of spring. Under all this decay something was growing. Caring for the garden reminded me to care for myself.”

It makes you want to love better and live better and treat people better.” And she adds, “There is a great Gloria Steinem quote—and I’m paraphrasing—’Become the man you want to marry.’ I’ve taken that on. What qualities do I find attractive, and can I find them in myself? What am I missing? Can I be that for myself?”

The trailer for Shutter Island is finally available on the movie’s official website. I’ve posted 16 screencaps of Michelle and added the video to the media archive. It looks like it’s going to be creepy!

I’ve added three new photoshoots of Michelle from 2006 and 2008. I especially like the Wonderland shoot. The pictures are very interesting looking.

I’ve updated the gallery with scans of Michelle’s interview with the UK’s Observer Magazine. Thanks to Lorna for the scans! This is a great interview with Michelle. She talks about her early career and her recent problems with the paparazzi. She also mentions possibly returning to work in smaller films.

Wendy and Lucy is now playing in the UK.

“I don’t want to make my life any more complicated,” she says. “I don’t want any more paparazzi outside my door. I want it to get better as my daughter grows up, not worse. If it makes a difference, if doing smaller movies means less of that stuff, then I’ll adjust my life so that we can still have a life in the city and not totally disappear. If not, I think they have laws in France – I’ll go there.”
