After 15 years with Jive Records the Backstreet Boys have confirmed that they have left the label and are excited about future things to come.

So the news is out! The Backstreet Boys are no longer signed to long time record label Jive Records. The amicable split is very exciting for the group. “This is the best thing, at the best time that could have ever happened for us”, says Brian Littrell. “We are confident in the future of our band, and are looking forward to the new things to come. 2011 is going to be a great year for us!”

This week the Backstreet Boys have been in NYC doing a bit of promo before their US tour in support of their latest album ’This Is Us’ starts this Saturday in Miami. They were on the Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday. While a pretaped performance from the Bonnie Hunt Show aired on Wednesday in which they recorded while they were at the show last month.

Kris Allen attended and also performed his latest single ‘The Truth’ and ‘Together We Are One’ with all other Idol winners and past contestants at the season finale of American Idol Season 9.

The Backstreet Boys appeared on the CBS Early Show today where they performed their new single ‘Bigger’ and their classic hits ‘I Want It That Way and ‘Everybody”. They were also interviewed. They even made some time to sign some autographs for fans.

The Backstreet Boys have announced plans to have a cruise this upcoming winter. The cruise will take place December 9-13 on Carnival Destiny. 

The Carnival Destiny will be departing from Miami, Florida on December 9th for 4 fun days at sea. The ship will stop in Key West and Cozumel before returning back to Miami on the morning of December 13th.

The cruise will include an intimate performance by the Backstreet Boys, Q&A, Photo Session, Deck Party and Beach Party. All events are hosted by the Boys and more that will be announced.

If you are a Backstreet Boys fanclub member there will be a presale March 15 at 12pm ET. If you’re not a public on-sale will start March 22nd 12pm ET.  But those in the fanclub get first dibs on the cabins. As long as there is at least one Fan Club Member in your cabin, you can book during the pre-sale on March 15.

A few days late in posting this here but there is brand new layout at Kaos-Online.com. Thanks to Luciana for sharing her slightly modified version of this theme. I modified it slighty more to my liking. It’s more simple and cleaner than the previous theme. Also the menu when you hover your mouse over to the last three links you’ll see a drop down menu appear with all the sub pages. Which makes it easier to navagate to each page.  I hope everyone likes it as well.

While on tour in Europe for their latest album ‘This Is Us’, the Backstreet Boys were at the MTV European Music Awards on November 5, 2009 where they presented an award. They also met up with the Jonas Brothers for some photo ops.

The Backstreet Boys are sad to announce they have cancelled today’s NYC PINKTOBER Hard Rock Café signing due to member, Brian Littrell having been diagnosed with the Swine Flu. The other 3 members, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean have seen a doctor and are not showing any symptoms. As a preventive measure, the doctor has prescribed Tamiflu to the group and their touring party, who had just returned to the states from Tokyo.

This unfortunate occurrence will also result in the cancelling of the group’s CBS Early Show performance tomorrow, Tuesday October 6th. BSB was scheduled to perform their new single “Straight Through My Heart.” The intimate performance at PC Richards (downtown) has also been cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.

“We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of PINKTOBER, an unbelievable and important program” Litrell says. “I hope we can come back soon and do everything we can to help.”

The Backstreet Boys are in New York in support of their new album THIS IS US, out tomorrow, October 6th on Jive Records. The rest of the band’s promotional schedule for this week has not been determined.
