We just added the first released photos of Carice during yesterday’s ‘Gouden Kalf’ award ceremony. Like we updated before Carice won her 5th ‘Gouden Kalf’ yesterday for her role in “Black Butterflies“. She looked stunning and we are still so happy she won again.

Carice attended the Jaeger-LeCoultre Celebrates Reverso 80th Anniversary with her “Intruders” co-star Clive Owen on June 28th in Paris, France. She looked absolutely stunning wearing a white and black jumpsuit. We are still catching up with all the missing updates, so stay tuned!

Carice already got praising reviews in her home country the Netherlands but since it premiered during the Tribeca Film Festival. Carice and director Paula van der Oest talked with Variety about the project, it makes us so proud “Black Butterflies” is so well received during the Tribeca Film Festival.

When asked how many films she’s made, van Houten (34 going on 17), dismisses any attempt to be accurate with a wave–”Oh so many, maybe 20.” Two of her better known films are Valkyrie and Black Book. In Black Butterflies, she is an impetuous Ingrid, flaunting her freedom by appearing nearly everywhere barefoot and in short shorts, hard-core flirting with men even within eyesight of Cope. “We knew she did these things, but we had to figure out why,” says van Houten. “So Paula (the director) and I talked about her motivation a lot. I have to talk about my roles until I completely understand them. Only then can I act my roles intuitively. We decided that given Ingrid’s personality, she flirted innocently, like a child, and not to hurt her lover or to make him jealous.”

Carice won the awards for Best Actress in a Narrative Feature Film at the Tribeca Film Festival for her amazing performance in “Black Butterflies” which premiered during the festival. We can not express how proud we are of her, this is a big honor! The full list of winners can be found over here.

Jury Comments: “There are a million colors in this complicated performance. We award this honor for bravery and fragility, and for showing tremendous range and strength throughout.”

First of all sorry for the lack of updates from me, but my motivation was gone plus nothing was really happening with Carice until now. Carice is the face of the Spring/Summer 2011 campaign of Mexx and the campaign recently started. I walked into a Mexx yesterday and they had different campaign shots throughout the store and they are absolutely amazing.

We added all the campaign shots in our gallery. Carice looks stunning and she is a great model too.

Euro Strat did an interview with Carice recently. It’s a good interview and article. I’ve added the new photoshoot they did for the interview in our gallery as well as the magazine scans.

Since Carice van Houten’s sizzling international debut in Paul Verhoeven’s 2006 Second World War spy thriller Black Book, she’s been hailed as Holland’s most popular export since the tulip. The industry bible Variety paid tribute to her talent, New York magazine named her Woman of the Year in January 2008, and Vanity Fair’s Hollywood edition two months later featured her in an upside-down pose to indicate her effect on the film industry.
