Dollhouse star Dichen Lachman might have left Neighbours almost four years ago, but the striking actor just can’t quite escape the family soap.
Back in Australia with her Dollhouse co-star Enver Gjokaj (both right) for a holiday over Christmas and the New Year, Lachman is regularly recognised by Neighbours fans and lives in an apartment block full of ex-Neighbours stars in LA.
Gjokaj said: “I just moved into it. I am officially one of the neighbours now.” Lachman said: “It is kind of noisy. There is me and Anton (her boyfriend), Natalie Blair and David (Hoflin), Damo (Damien Bodie), and a couple of other Aussies there, too.
“Caitlin Staasey came over at one stage and stayed on the couch for a few months.” Lachman quickly landed a regular role on the sci-fi series Dollhouse when she moved to the US. The show was discontinued after the second season finished filming last month. The final series will be shown on Foxtel from next month.
Lachman, who will head back to LA this month, said while disappointed the show had ended, she had enjoyed being part of the action series. “I think people should approach it like a 13-episode mini-series,” she said.
Lachman said she was not sure what this year would hold work-wise. “I don’t have anything specific lined up,” she said. “It is scary, but it is also very exciting in some ways to not actually know what you are going to be doing. It fuels you and drives you.”
