L&O: UK Series 6 Caps@FreemaWeb.Com

I have finally been able to add screen captures of series six of law & Order: UK to the gallery. The first two episode have already aired on BBC America the previous weeks. Hopefully I will be able to caps of this week’s episode as well. It’s weird not seeing Jamie Bamber as Matt Devlin but in my opinion Paul Nicholls’ DS Sam Casey is a good addition to the cast. Below you can find the episode description for 6×03 Haunted.

When a petty criminal makes a deathbed confession to the murder of a teenage girl, Ronnie is left shaken to the core as he is forced to reopen a case he thought he had put to bed fourteen years ago.
Premieres October 12th at 9/8c.

Law & Order: UK 5×01 Screen Caps@FreemaWeb.Com

Law & Order: UK was finally back with new episodes last night. Series five kicks off with some major cast changes (namely no more Ben Daniels and no regular Bill Paterson). Getting used to the new cast members and the change in dynamic that their addition naturally creates wasn’t as difficult as expected. “The Wrong Man” is available on the ITV player for all those of you that missed the episode last night. Screen captures have been added to the gallery and a description of next week’s episode can be found in the sidebar on the left.

“Help” Captures Added@FreemaWeb.Com

It took me a lot longer than expected but I was finally able to add screen captures of last Thursday’s episode of Law & Order: UK to the gallery. I thought “Help” was a great episode. Especially with regards to how the relationships between the characters were explored a little – Matt being scared for Ronnie and Alesha having James totally figured out. I also thinks it’s interesting how James’ departure was set up in the episode.

Series five is currently being filmed in London. Freema has already shot some scenes outside with her new cast mates. On set pictures will be added later.

“Duty of Care” Caps Added@FreemaWeb.Com

I have added some 200 screen captures of this week’s episode of Law & Order: UK 4×04 “Duty of Care”. Entertaining episode as usual. I particularly enjoyed Alesha’s role in the episode and how she reacted to that terrible defense council. Only two more episodes to go. A description for next week’s episode “Help” is below.

The murder of has-been footballer, Robbie Nichols, on the street one evening at first looks like a random robbery gone wrong but when the prime suspect becomes the star witness, it becomes clear that our heroes have only scratched the surface of a greater crime ring.

Also, bidding for Freema’s canvas art opened yesterday. If you want to place a bid you can do so here.

Law & Order: UK 4×02 “Denial” Caps

Screen captures of Thursday’s absolutely fantastic episode of Law & Order: UK 4×02 “Denial” have been added to the gallery. I really enjoyed the episode, much more so than last week.

The first half had some funny police banter, the second half offered a very emotional story line. Plus, I think it was the first time that we have seen Alesha arguing bale.

4×01 “ID” Screen Caps Added@FreemaWeb.Com

Screen captures of Thursday’s episode 4×01 (or 3×08 depending on how you count) “ID” have been added to the gallery.

Maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me because the episode aired in Canada, but it somehow seemed different to me. The pace and just the overall style seemed unfamiliar. I felt a little behind during the episode, the plot was confusing but I’m glad that new episodes are back.

“Anonymous” Caps Added@FreemaWeb.Com

Screen captures of last night’s episode of Law & Order: UK 3×07 “Anonymous” have been added to the gallery. I really liked how Alesha’s friendship with Matt was played out.

Episode seven should mark the end of series three- at least on ITV in the UK. In Canada CityTV broadcasts the most recent episodes of L&O: UK on Thursdays. Canada is one week behind in episodes so that next week on 28 October they will show yesterday’s episode “Anonymous”. Now, if last year is anything to go by CityTV will air all thirteen new episodes without break which would mean that on 4 November there should be an episode which has not yet been broadcast in the UK (ITV will most likely show the remaining six episodes in January).

“Masquerade” Caps@FreemaWeb.Com

I have added some 200 screen captures of last night’s episode of Law & Order: UK 3×06 “Masquerade” which was as expected Freema heavy and terrific with the added bonus of the lovely Charlene McKenna guest starring.
Only one more episode to go in series three before ITV takes a break from Law & Order presumably until January. A description of next week’s episode Anonymous can as always be found in the sidebar.

New Layout@FreemaWeb.Com

As you can see Freema Agyeman Web has undergone a layout change. Although the site had just gotten a new layout a little over a month ago I felt it was time for a new look. I wanted to have a layout with a more current picture of Freema. This portrait picture taken at the 2010 BAFTA presented itself and I seized the opportunity. The darker colors are also much more suitable for this time of year. The wordpress theme is designed by Natalie from 2N-Design.Org I just adjusted the colors. A big thank you to her for offering the theme. I am just over the moon about the new look and I hope that you all feel the same.

I have also added the BAFTA photo shoot picture to the gallery so you can have a look at it there.

“Survivor” Caps Added.

I have added some three houndred screen captures of last night’s episode of Law & Order: UK 3×06 “Survivor”. I think it was a terrific episode – finally some more screen time for Freema. There was a lot of setup for next week’s episode dealing with Alesha confronting her past. It was really nice to see Alesha get more involved and evolved emotionally. I’m really excoted for next week.

The Wall Street Journal recently did an interview with Freema to promote Law & Order: UK in the USA. Most of the questions are pretty standard and have been asked and answered a few times already but it is still fund to read. Here is one of Freema’s answers that I found especially interesting.

For the writers, it seem as if one of the bigger challenges is adapting the “order” side of the equation.

There are major differences. It’s quite interesting for us as well, because as the UK’s version of a lawyer, you can’t walk around the courtroom; it’s not as sexy as your courts, where you can walk around and look very dramatic. We have to stand behind the bench dressed in wigs and gowns. But we were really chuffed to be part of the history of “Law & Order.” The mothership series has an amazing fan base, so we hope this new version will maintain old fans as well as win new ones.

You can read the rest of the interview here.

“Hounded” Caps & LAO UK On BBC America

Last night’s episode of Law & Order: UK was another good one (I was expecting nothing less). Screen captures have been added to the gallery. Details for next week’s episode “Defence” can be found on your right in the sidebar. Now, some good news for all of you living in the United States:

This October, BBC AMERICA brings 26 episodes of the hit show Law & Order: UK home to the U.S. Based on Emmy award-winning producer Dick Wolf’s long-running crime series, Law & Order: UK follows the familiar two part format: beginning each episode with a crime, followed by the legal and court proceedings to convict the criminal. All scripts have been taken from the U.S. version to retain the grittiness of the original series, but adapted to fit with the British legal system, providing a uniquely British twist. Law & Order: UK premieres Sunday, October 3, 10:30p.m. ET/PT with subsequent episodes premiering on Fridays, 9:00p.m. ET/PT.

“Survivor” Stills Added@FreemaWeb.Com

ITV has just released another batch of episodes stills. A total of eight stills featuring Freema of episode 3×05 Survivor have been added to the gallery. Below is the press release for that episode to freshen your memories. Don’t forget to catch an all new episode of Law & Order: UK on ITV this evening.

Crown Prosecutors James Steel and Alesha Phillips find themselves at odds with their boss, George Castle, who is keen to bring to justice the killer of a prison officer. James and Alesha can’t help but feel Tyner’s abuse should be brought into consideration when charging the accused. And they have their eye on a much greater prize – a career criminal connected to Tyner who has evaded the justice system for too long. Can James and Alesha convince the key witness to give evidence against a man she claims to love?

Law & Order: UK “Broken” Caps Added

Law & Order: UK was finally back with new episodes on ITV last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. It’s good to have the show back. Freema looked absolutely stunning in every scene and I can’t wait to see what story lines she’ll be given.
Some 200 screen captures of last night’s episode 3×01 Broken have been added to the gallery. A description of next week’s episode (“Hounded”) can be found in the sidebar on the right.

Freema was supposed to appear on ITV’s This Morning to promote the third series premiere this week. An early press release said she’d be a guest on Thursday. Then that was changed to Monday. And it now appears that she might not be on after all.

New Layout@FreemaWeb.Com

After three months it really was time, once again, for a new layout. ITV has just announced a premiere date for the third series of Law & Order: UK (just three weeks from now whoohoo) and I wanted the site to have the chance at a fresh start. The header graphic was designed by my friend Masha. Thanks so much to her for being so kind. What I like about this layout are the bright colors. I wish I had newer photo shoot pictures to use but unfortunately there are none. I like the new layout and I hope you do to.

Law & Order UK Series 3 Info

ITV has just announced that it will be broadcasting the third series of Law & Order: UK starting September 9th, 2010 – so just three weeks from now. Stills for episode 3×01 “Broken” have already been released (none of them featuring Freema though). ITV has also released a press pack with episode synopsis for the first seven episodes. The episode titles are as followed: Broken, Hounded, Defence, Confession, Survivor, Masquerade and Anonymous.

The press pack also features interviews with Bradley Walsh, Jamie Bamber, Ben Daniels and Freema. It’s a nice interview – I posed a few excerpts below – if you want to read the whole thing you can download the ITV press pack [HERE].

What have you been doing since finishing filming?
“I should probably say I have been doing a gruelling one hander at an amazing venue. But in all honesty, my sister had a baby girl just before we finished making Law & Order:UK and I didn’t get to see much of her at all. So since we finished, I have been spending so much time doing my Aunty duties and I adore it!”

“I have been on holiday with my family, spending quality time with my lovely boyfriend and doing lots of horse riding! I am enjoying having a break, and just trying to achieve that work/life balance! We start filming again in October, so come September, I will need to start retraining my body and mind as both will need a bit of a work out!”

What’s been your favourite episode?
“If I was being selfish I would have to say ‘Masquerade’ as you learn more about Alesha. If I was being unbiased, then I would say ‘Defence’ because I loved the mental sparring between James Steel and Rupert Graves’ character. It was utterly engaging to watch the two of them bounce off each other.”

Looks like there will be great story lines coming up for Alesha this year. From the information that has been released, however, I think it’s safe to assume that ITV will only be airing seven of the thirteen episodes in a row. If last year is anything to go by the others will be shown in early January.
