Isla Fisher celebrated her 36th birthday yesterday, and we at Isla Fisher Web wanted to wish her the happiest of birthdays!

Isla Fisher is now in Park City, Utah to promote her new movie Bachelorette at the Sundance Film Festival, and yesterday she popped into the T-Mobile Google Music Village and a couple of photo studios. Isla was snapped with her co-star and fellow Aussie Rebel Wilson at the Music Village, and their other co-stars, including Kirsten Dunst and James Marsden, joined them for the two portrait sessions.
There will be a premiere for Bachelorette in the next few days, so we will definitely be seeing more of Miss Fisher and her co-stars at Sundance soon.

Isla was snapped looking colourful in full costume last week, and was filming a scene with Joel Edgerton and Tobey Maguire. Isla Fisher fans are in for a real treat at Isla Fisher Web, as we have crammed in tons of fantastic updates for you in the last few days!
To start with, we have a brand new Gallery with all the photos from the old Gallery plus about 6,000 new additions! A lot of the appearance photos were replaced with HQ versions, and we’ve also added some rare old photos from appearances Isla made in the UK in the late 90′s. We’ve added exclusive screencaps from many of Isla’s older, harder-to-find projects, including her first tv work in Australia. Lots of new AND old photoshoots have been added. And hundreds of screencaps from various talk show appearances have been uploaded. All this and a super-pretty sparkly new layout designed by Mycah! We’ve worked really hard to bring you some great treats in this new Gallery, and hope you enjoy browsing through it.

Isla Fisher attended fashion’s big night, the Costume Institute Gala, in New York City last night! She looked her usual dazzling self in a blue strapless sequined gown by American designer Tory Burch, with statement purple crystal and diamond earrings by House of Lavande. Isla looked gorgeous! Inside the event Isla shared a table with her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, and other celebs such as Kristen Bell and Beyonce.

Isla Fisher is in negotiations to join Baz Lurhmann’s 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby being made by Warner Bros.
Fisher will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan. Ben Affleck is also in negotiations to join the production, which is eyeing a late summer start.
DiCaprio is pegged to play the wealthy and mysterious Jay Gatsby, while Maguire is playing Nick Carraway, who in the novel is the narrator. Mulligan is playing Gatsby’s love, Daisy Buchanan, who is married to a wealthy chap named Tom Buchanan, whom Affleck would play if his deal makes.

Iala Fisher joined in Hollywood’s big festivities last night, making a low-key appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party! The full theatrical trailer for the upcoming animated movie Rango, starring the voices of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and Bill Nighy, among others, has been released today! View it at Isla Fisher Web.
Rango is set for release on March 4th 2011.
Isla Fisher attended the world premiere of her new movie Burke & Hare in London last night, looking gorgeous in a printed red Dolce & Gabbana lace dress with a velvet bolero jacket and black pumps! This was Isla’s first major public appearance in over a year, and her first appearance since the birth of her 2nd child a couple of months ago. Isla was her usual smiley self on the red carpet, and posed with her co-stars Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis. 90 photos from the premiere have now been added to Isla Fisher Web, along with videos and screencaptures from her new interviews promoting the film.
Burke & Hare is released in the UK this Friday, and is awaiting a US release date.
BURKE & HARE is a comedic take on the true story of the 1828 Edinburgh body-snatchers William Burke (Simon Pegg) and William Hare (Andy Serkis). These two Irish entrepreneurs, spurred on by a chance meeting with a gorgeous actress (Isla Fisher), discover that a dead body can fetch a hefty price when the demands of the leading medical professors Dr. Knox (Tom Wilkinson) and Dr. Monroe (Tim Curry) reach beyond that of the local supply.

The film is to be released in the UK next week, so hopefully we’ll get more Burke & Hare goodies next week, and with any luck, Miss Fisher will be at the world premiere in London on Monday!

 Isla Fisher tries out all her new comedy characters on her husband Sacha Baron Cohen before anyone else.
The ‘Wedding Crashers’ actress – who has two children with her funnyman spouse – admits they can’t help but discussing their work at home, and she loves testing out new ideas on him first because he is the “funniest” man she knows.
When asked if they compete against each other for laughs, she replied: “No, but I definitely can’t help myself from trying out new characters on Sacha. I think in all relationships, particularly if you’re in the same field, you end up bringing work home with you. At the same time, you never want your relationship to be just about work.
“Sacha’s the funniest man I know, and that’s on and off camera.”
Isla loves being a comedy actress, but admits she hasn’t found parts easily.
She explained to Culture magazine: “Even though I studied comedy, I didn’t know I could do it for a living. It felt like too much fun.
“After I did ‘Wedding Crashers’, I felt really optimistic about my future, but there weren’t the opportunities I’d imagined to follow such a big commercial movie. The roles offered were to play the girlfriend of another comedian. They would get to do the joke, and you’d roll your eyes. I was a little disillusioned and ultimately grew more and more frustrated.”
