The newest poster for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” was released Tuesday, a powerful image that depicts heroine Katniss Everdeen ascending a cliff into the heavens, wing-shaped clouds behind her.

It’s a striking, almost hopeful look for the character, in stark contrast to the poster’s morose tagline: “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.” That mindset consumes Katniss for much of “Catching Fire,” as she must return to the arena to once again fight to the death against fellow victors from the rest of Panem’s districts, all overseen by the calculating President Snow.

But as the poster suggests, Katniss is able to rise above her troubles, and “Catching Fire” sets in motion her transition from survivor to hero. The image is a nice tease of what’s to come -– those Mockingjay-esque clouds and Katniss’s almost messianic pose are no coincidence –- as the “Hunger Games” series continues. We’ll see how it all plays out when “Catching Fire” enters the arena on November 22.

Showing their love for fine fashion, Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard showed up for the 2013 Costume Institute Gala on Monday evening (May 6) in New York City. Both dressed to the nines in Dior, the lovely actresses posed together for the waiting photographers stationed outside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art before making their way in.

Every year, the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art puts together a killer collection of amazing goodies complete with a star-studded party to kick things off. And this time around the theme is “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” an examination of punk’s impact on high fashion from the 1970s up to the collections found on today’s runways the world over.

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Pat Solatano has lost everything – his house, his job, and his wife. He now finds himself living back with his mother and father after spending eight months in a state institution on a plea bargain. Pat is determined to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife, despite the challenging circumstances of their separation. All Pat’s parents want is for him to get back on his feet – and to share their family’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. When Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own, things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives.

A frosty tundra stands NO chance against Katniss’ … um … expertly chosen steps! Jennifer Lawrence was all bundled up on the set of David O. Russell’s new film in Boston Wednesday (above), and while there were MANY shoe-soaking snow piles in her path, it seems the award-winning young actress did NOT throw a diva fit…
Instead, she precariously traversed the icy mounds with a big smile on her face!

Back in October, Jennifer was announced as the new face of the Miss Dior label, and now she looks absolutely fabulous in her new photo spread for Miss Dior upcoming luxury handbag campaign. The 22-year-old actress explained

We’re used to Jennifer Lawrence pulling out all the stops on the red carpet. Have you seen all of the Dior couture she’s rocked this award show season? Flawless. Leading up to the big finale at Sunday’s Oscars, the actress stepped out to attend the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Instead of a dress from her go-to French fashion house, Jen opted for a black Lanvin number, complete with a crystal choker, knotted belt and a hefty does of sideboob.
