Sanaa Lathan and Glee heartthrob Jonathan Groff have landed new regular roles on the second season of Starz’s drama series Boss. The Lionsgate TV-produced series stars recent Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer as ruthless Chicago mayor Tom Kane. Lathan is finalizing a deal to play Mona, Kane’s incorruptible new chief of staff, who becomes an obsession for him. Lathan, repped by ICM and John Carrabino, voices the female lead on Fox’s The Cleveland Show and was most recently seen in the feature Contagion. Groff will play Ian Todd, a smart and ambitious staffer in Kane’s office who steps into the void Ezra Stone (Martin Donovan) has left to offer astute council to Kane. WME-repped Groff is best known for his recurring role as villain-turned-good guy Jesse St. James on the Fox musical dramedy Glee.

Talk about a sweet gig.

Glee’s resident red carpet diva is about to profit from her increasingly cooed-over sartorial style, as E! News has exclusively learned that Lea Michele has been named the newest spokeswoman for Candie’s.

Talk about the perfect fit.

“Lea’s fans are the same as Candie’s fans,” an insider for the fashion brand told E! News.

Lea’s rep could not be reached for comment and Candie’s has also remained mum on the stylish new appointment, though a source told E! News that Michele will appear in a series of print ads for the company later this year as part of her endorsement deal.

As it is, she’s stepping into some well-heeled shoes for the new gig. Vanessa Hudgens is Candie’s most recent celebrity spokeswoman, and the job has been filled in the past by Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Fergie and Jenny McCarthy.

Can’t wait to see those spots, Lea!

Lea will be returning to Glee in Season 4. All new episodes return on January 17. She will be attending People`s Choice Awards on Wednesday.
Jonathan will be appearing in an episode of The Good Wife next month:

The Good Wife is taking Jesse St. James to court!
Recurring Glee star Jonathan Groff has landed a guest stint on the CBS drama, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Groff will appear in this season’s 15th episode as Jimmy, a plaintiff suing a software company after his sister disappears during a peaceful protest in Syria.

The episode is slated to air during February sweeps.

As previously reported, Groff is set to return to Glee later this season — this time as the coach of New Directions’ rival choir Vocal Adrenaline.

Jonathan will be taking part in MCC’s Miscast Gala happening March 26. Lea mentioned Jonathan in a couple of her red carpet interviews and while promoting the film. Check out this one from CNN where Lea mentions about her New Year’s kiss and will be making Jonathan take one for the team.

Many hold it as tradition to lock lips with someone when ringing in the new year, including “Glee” star Lea Michele.

And the newly single 25-year-old already has a plan in place. (Are we the only ones who can picture her “Glee” alter-ego Rachel Berry doing the exact same thing?)

“I’m a single girl, so I’ve brought in my best friend Jonathan [presumably, Groff] to give me my kiss on New Year’s Eve,” Michele told CNN Sunday.

“He’s going to take one for the team and give me my kiss. We were on Broadway together, and had to make out every single night, so it’ll be like old habit for me. But you’ve got to have somebody!”

You know, no pressure.

Groffy Klaus Is Coming to Town: Tis the season to get excited about the one and only Jonathan Groff returning to our television. A source tells us he won’t be reappearing until the back six (wah wahhh), so we can all just assume that New Directions will win all their singing competitions leading up to facing off with Vocal Adrenaline. Plus, our little Broadway birdie assured us that Groff has nothing lined up in New York so he can get back to Los Angeles ASAP. The sooner he’s here, the sooner we can all just relax and soak in his Groff-iness.
