Miley Cyrus has confirmed that she will be turning her back on Hannah Montana when her contract for the fourth season of the popular teenage show ends. Hannah Montana is a show about a girl who is a rock star by night, and a regular teenage girl by day. Its a comedy series focused on the trouble the pop star gets into as a teenager whilst trying to keep her secret.

Fans are left wondering how Miley’s career will fair when she parts with Disney, is this a complete split from Disney, or a split from Hannah Montana specifically? These questions are still unanswered. Either way, Miley Cyrus has a budding singing career, and is about to go on the Miley Cyrus 2009 Tour.

Another starlet who left Disney after the success of her first feature film is Hilary Duff, who starred in ‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie‘. However Hilary Duff’s split from Disney had more to do with money, and ‘creative differences’. Although she’s not in need of money, with an estimated fortune of $100 million dollars, but since her split from Disney her career has plunged, and is now lacking work.

For fans left wondering what this split will mean for Miley’s career, don’t fret because Miley’s order book is packed full until 2011. She is currently working on her new movie, The Last Song, and is currently in talks for a tween version of Whitney Houston’s box office hit, ‘The Bodyguard‘, which is being dubbed ‘Personal Security.‘

For those who are already dreading the final episode of Hannah Montana, there is a new series premiering next month o the ABC Family Network with a similar premise starring Alea Vega and David Cassidy which is called ‘Ruby and the Rockits’.

Because there are very sick people with no lives of their own out there, another Miley Cyrus death rumor is running amok.

Someone hacked into a number of celebrity Twitter services and announced their deaths. “Miley Cyrus dead”, “Britney Spears dead”, “Louie Anderson dead”, “Harrison Ford dead”, “Jeff Goldblum dead” were all announced via the media messaging network. Rest assured all of the above celebrities are alive and fine. The “Hannah Montana” starlet was said to have perished in a terrible car accident. Obviously there is no truth to this. This is the 274th (just a guess) rumor of her death.

Lets hope that it stays just a rumor. Within weeks (most within days) of each other, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Gale Storm, Billy Mays and David Carradine have all passed away far too soon.

So The Dame begs of you to drive safely, replace drugs with an addiction exercise and have a safety word while getting your kink on.

Getting back to work on her new movie, Miley Cyrus was all smiles as she arrived to the Savannah set with her sister Brandi on Monday (June 22).

Joining up with her co-stars, the workday comes after returning from Dallas - where she sang on stage with the Jonas Brothers, doing a duet with Nick Jonas.

Meanwhile, Miss Cyrus was one of the celebrities to show her concern for Perez Hilton after he tweeted that he was attacked by Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am.

After tweeting back “You are kidding right??? omgosh!,” Miss Cyrus later wrote, “I am soooo not tired and its 4 a.m….. I think I have a problem. Maybe I will just wait up for you??? Hmm what to do, what to do…”

Looking to cool off from the rising summertime temperatures, Miley Cyrus was spotted out on a Jet Ski motorized watercraft earlier today (June 19).

Joined by her kid sister Noah and a girlfriend, the “Hannah Montana” actress looked like a conscientious driver as she navigated the waves on the Georgia coast.

Miss Cyrus has been hard at work on a new film project called “The Last Song” as of late, though the beach location looks ideal for the young singer/actress.

And it sounds like there’s a mutual appreciation going on between Miley and the locals, as the film is bringing in new business to the rural southern town.

Back out for another day of filming, Miley Cyrus was hard at work on the set of her new film “The Last Song” on Tybee Island, Georgia on Thursday (June 18).

The “Hannah Montana” darling shared an embrace with co-star Liam Hemsworth as the cameras rolled, chatting with her mom on the beach during breaks in the action.

Meanwhile, the locals of Tybee Island are happy to have Miss Cyrus staying in tehir community - hoping that her presence will help bring in the bucks.

“It’s going to be good for us,” said Gloria Magune, a local motel owner. “Even Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is still bringing us business.”

Concurring, Tom Parris, a location manager, adds, “People still come to see where Forrest Gump sat on the bench. They’re going to come see where Miley Cyrus sat on the pier. They’re going to come see where Miley Cyrus sat on the beach.”

Enjoying a day of fun in the sun, Miley Cyrus was spotted out jet-skiing in the waters off of Tybee Island, Georgia on Sunday afternoon (June 14).

Down south for the filming of “The Last Song,” Miley and her gal pal took to the waves - although they failed to uphold state law requiring life jacket use.

Keeping her fans in the know via her Twitter account, Miley wrote, “About to ride jetskiis with the cast!!!! No pictures please haha. I just made my self laugh, I am a total dork!”
