Last night Naomi Watts took part in the Annual 24 Hour Plays in New York City.

The 24 Hour Plays are an event in which entertainment’s biggest names join forces to participate in an annual rite of extreme live performance: they write, direct and perform six original short plays in just 24 hours. The creative process begins at 10PM the night before the show, when a group of six writers, six directors, 24 actors and production staff gather at a theater. After everyone has been briefed, the writers stay on all night, to each compose a ten-minute play. At 7AM the following morning, the directors return, read the plays, and choose their cast. The casts meet for the first time at 8AM and quickly get to work rehearsing. Tech rehearsal runs from 5:00 to 7:30PM and doors open at 7:45PM. At 8:00PM, ink barely dry, the new plays are performed for a live audience.

Naomi starred in “And It Seems to Me a Very Good Sign,” by Harrison Rivers, directed by Jessica Bauman, also starring John Krasinski, Sam Rockwell and Amber Tamblyn.

The Watts siblings were creating a scene in New York when they ventured on to the street for a sexy photo shoot. Ben Watts, who is a successful New York-based photographer in his own right, was shooting his sister in a number of sexy black outfits, apparently for a magazine shoot.

Hello again!
I’ve been working on the gallery like crazy today. But before I get more deep into re-adding more pictures to the gallery I figured I would upload and update about these. Earlier I mentioned that I had some portraits from San Sebastian Film Festival to share with you all. Over the weekend Naomi was at the San Sebastian Film Festival promoting her latest movie Mother and Child. I was able to get a hold of some of the pictures from the photocall and closing ceremony and have added them to the new gallery. Nicole Kidman will star in Woody Allen’s next film, joining the already announced cast of Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts.

The as-yet-untitled film is produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures. It is financed by Mediapro, the Spain-based company which also funded “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”

Sony Pictures Classics will release Allen’s next completed film, “Whatever Works,” which opens theatrically on June 19, 2009.
