Susan Sarandon in V Magazine

Susan on the cover of V Magazine's Who Cares About Age issue

Susan Sarandon graces the cover of the new ‘Who Cares About Age’ issue of V magazine! Fellow Hollywood luminaries Sigourney Weaver and Jane Fonda also have separate covers. Susan looks simply incredible! Read more about the issue, quotes from Susan’s interview, and find more photos at Admiring Susan Sarandon.

At 64 years old, Susan Sarandon couldn’t be happier.

“I wouldn’t want to be 20 now,” the actress tell V magazine, in their special Age Issue, also featuring Jane Fonda and Sigourney Weaver. “I know so much more, and I’m much more comfortable in my skin, saggy as it is.”

Sarandon says life’s too short to spend it worrying about your body. “When I hear young girls complaining about superficial things … You’re at the peak of your physical beauty right now!” she exclaims. “Just enjoy it and stop worrying about your thighs being too big.”

Adds Sarandon, “If you’re upset with how you look at 25, life’s going to be tough.”

‘I’m Still a Hippie Chick’: Susan Sarandon interview

‘I’m Still a Hippie Chick’: Susan Sarandon interview with The Daily Telegraph

Susan Sarandon, the Oscar-winning actress and star of Thelma & Louise, talks to Helena de Bertodano about her split from Tim Robbins, her controversial activism and her new-found love of table tennis.

On Susan Sarandon’s wrist is an unusual tattoo. At first glance it looks like a jagged bracelet, but if you look closer you can see the letters andand. ‘It stands for A New Dawn A New Day,’ says Sarandon, twisting her wrist round to show me.

‘It’s supposed to remind me that if there are disappointments or mistakes, the next day I can just start again. One of my strongest attributes is being able to change direction when I’m given the gift of something I didn’t anticipate.’

Sarandon has recently suffered her fair share of disappointments. Last Christmas she and the actor Tim Robbins, one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, announced their separation after 23 years together.

Then on a trip to Haiti a few weeks later (she was visiting a hospital with Artists for Peace and Justice) she damaged her foot so badly that she had to have a bone replaced in her toe and has been limping around on crutches ever since.

Even her on-screen characters cannot escape misfortune. Her latest film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, is the sequel to the Academy Award-winning 1987 film Wall Street.

It sees Michael Douglas reprise his role as the ruthless Gordon Gekko, just released from jail. Sarandon plays Sylvia Moore, the hapless mother-in-law to Gekko’s estranged daughter, Winnie.

Sarandon’s character experiences financial ruin when her real-estate business crashes. ‘I represent Everyman because I’m bottom of the heap financially. Sylvia could have drawn some strength from my tattoo.’

Susan Sarandon at the Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps premiere

Susan Sarandon attended the premiere of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps in New York City last night, alongside all of her co-stars – Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin, Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas and Frank Langella – and their director, Oliver Stone. Susan looked her usual striking, classy self in a figure-hugging olive dress from the Donna Karan pre-fall 2010 line.

Susan spoke of her co-star and long-time friend Michael Douglas’s battle with cancer on the red carpet, saying:

“I think what I’ve been impressed with is his grace and his sense of humor… I think he’s really smart to take the time to do this [attend the premiere] because he’s brilliant in it, and why sit at home, right?”

Susan Sarandon Up for Glee‘s Rocky Horror Tribute

With a season already full of stars ranging from Britney Spears to Javier Bardem, it’s only a question of who will be the next Gleek. And with rumors already buzzing about an episode of Glee devoted to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, will Susan Sarandon be making an appearance in tribute to the 35-year-old cult classic in which she costarred?

“Depending on what they wanted me to do,” the Oscar winner, 63, told PEOPLE at Wednesday night’s SPiN New York “Ping Pong With The Models” Event to Benefit Haiti. “I’m not really a singer, so I wouldn’t be very out there. I’m a terrible singer. But I’m flattered they want to do it.”

And while Sarandon admits she was only recently introduced to the FOX show, she has certainly become a fan. “I don’t really have a TV, but when I was on location in New Orleans, I saw it and I was very moved and I thought it was really well done and fun. I liked it,” she says, adding, “I can’t say I’ve seen a lot of the episodes. I’ll wait for the boxed set.”

In the meantime, it seems the Glee cast is becoming a fan of hers — and her popular ping-pong club. “[Glee] just did their premiere party in Los Angeles, and they used SPiN to do it,” she says. “They called us because they wanted ping pong at it!”

Susan Sarandon Teams With The Body Shop to End Sex Trafficking

Susan Sarandon Teams With The Body Shop to End Sex Trafficking Susan Sarandon is adding star power to The Body Shop’s latest installment of its Stop Sex Trafficking Campaign.

The retailer will launch a petition drive in the United States today to spread awareness and support for legislation that would help end the sex trafficking of children and young people worldwide. Stores will urge visitors to sign the petition, and a Web site link will allow anyone to sign electronically.

Uma Thurman, Yoko Ono, and Sienna Miller have also signed the petition and created self-drawn hand traces for colorful signage that will go up in stores.

In addition, The Body Shop will continue to donate proceeds from their popular Soft Hands, Kind Heart Hand Cream and Bag for Life products to ECPAT (End Child Prostitution and Trafficking) and the Somaly Mam Foundation, for both of which they’ve already raised over $1.5 million.

Sarandon sung words of praise for her favorite beauty destination.

“It would be wonderful if more corporate entities understood how eager people are to see their money go toward a donation. The Body Shop was one of the first to get that and do that,” Sarandon told a packed penthouse atop New York’s Morgans Hotel.
