Synopsis : Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan), owner of a little and famous bookstore for children’s books, has an affair. Being together with Frank Navasky (Greg Kinnear), a well-known journalist, she betrays him by e-mailing secretly and anonymously with a (also betraying) man whom she met in a chat room. Suddenly, her business gets endangered by the opening of Fox Books discount store just “around the corner”. She meets Joe Fox (Tom Hanks), son of the owner, and soon gets annoyed by his arrogant way of managing business matters. Although getting advice by her anonymous mail-pal, she has to close down her store. But Joe Fox’s life suddenly gets out of control when he learns that his anonymous mail-pal is nobody other than Kathleen Kelly.

Actor Tom Hanks played a real life hero this week by halting filming on his new movie to help a stranded bride reach her wedding.

Hanks is currently filming the “Da Vinci Code” sequel “Angels and Demons” in Rome, Italy. The crew was shooting outside the Pantheon church in the city when the actor spotted the woman.

The bride, in her wedding dress and veil, had arrived at the church, only to find her access blocked by the film crew, causing her to panic.

But Hanks immediately halted filming and rushed over to help, and taking the woman on his arm, he escorted her and her father across the set to meet her groom at the altar.

The star even gathered the train of her dress, to stop the long gown dragging on the floor. And after his good deed was done, Hanks allowed the crew to complete the scene.

In the early 1980s, Charlie Wilson is a womanizing US congressional representative from Texas who seemed to be in the minor leagues, except for the fact that he is a member of two major foreign policy and covert-ops committees. However, prodded by his major conservative supporter, Joanne Herring, Wilson learns about the plight of the people are suffering in the brutal Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. With the help of the maverick CIA agent, Gust Avrakotos, Wilson dedicates his canny political efforts to supply the Afghan mujahideen with the weapons and support to defeat the Soviet Union. However, Charlie Wilson eventually learns that while military victory can had, there are other consequences and prices to that fight that are ignored to everyone’s sorrow.
