Also, Selma Blair has revealed she is shocked by an Australian-led blogger backlash about her US version of Kath & Kim. Her comments came as US network NBC extended its order of its version of the show from six episodes to 13. “Some people are really protective and horrified that we’re doing it in the United States,” Blair said. “It’s a case of, ‘How could you? Oh my god, you might ruin it’. But what’s to ruin? You’re still going to have your great show in Australia - we’re just paying homage to it. Nothing takes away from the original.”

Blake Lively is featured on the cover of the August 2008 issue of Seventeen Magazine.

“I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton – since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike,” Lively tells Seventeen in the August issue, out July 8. “It’s a dumb thing to say. I dont think that makes Paris and me similar … I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables, and I don’t like sex tapes.”

But Lively does fess up to one thing she has in common with character Serena van der Woodsen – she’s passionate.

“When I care about somebody, whether it’s my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart,” the youngest of five children says. “I’ve just been so loved, and I’m used to really loving people and trusting them.”

Josh Holloway has joined the cast of the Polish brothers comedy Stay Cool, says The Hollywood Reporter. The Lost star will join a cast that includes Winona Ryder, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase, Hilary Duff and Jon Cryer.

The film, which begins shooting this month in California, revolves around a well-known author (Polish) who is forced to confront his high school crush Scarlet Smith (Ryder) when he returns home. Holloway will star as the ex-boyfriend of Ryder’s character.

Michael Polish will direct Stay Cool from a script he co-wrote with brother Mark. The pair have previously worked together on The Astronaut Farmer and Northfork.

Above is the first photo of Keanu Reeves in the classic remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. The contemporary re-imagining of the 1951 science fiction classic stars Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, an alien whose arrival on our planet triggers a global upheaval. As governments and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor’s appearance, a woman (Jennifer Connelly) and her young stepson (Jaden Smith) get caught up in his mission – and come to understand the ramifications of his being a self-described “friend to the Earth.” Kathy Bates also stars. The Day the Earth Stood Still scheduled to hit theaters on December 12th 2008.

According to Slash Film, the movie trailer for the remake will be attached to prints of Hancock, which hits theaters next week.

Chace Crawford and the rest of the cast of Gossip Girl, were today filming scenes for Gossip Girl’s Second Season in New York, the show will return on September 1st, pictures from Chace walking to the set have been added.

07.01 - Actresses Brigid Brannagh and Sally Pressman from the cast of the Lifetime series Army Wives join author Tanya Biank, author of the book that inspired the show, at a screening of a new episode held at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Selma Blair’s upcoming show, “Kath & Kim” has been ordered for a total of 13 episodes!

American television network NBC has ordered seven more episodes of Logie Award winning Australian series Kath & Kim.

It brings the total order for the hit series to 13 half-hour episodes.

The pick-up comes shortly after the comedy - starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair in the US version - shot the first episode of its six-episode order.

The show is scheduled to go back into production next month on the remaining segments.

Kath & Kim focuses on the dysfunctional relationship between Kath - played by Shannon - and her daughter Kim, who is played by Blair.

It will premiere in the US on October 9, in the Thursday night slot following another show adapted from a foreign version, The Office.

The hit Australian version was created by and stars Jane Turner and Gina Riley.

GLAMOUR: You’re obviously back into fighting shape, so let’s discuss this workout of yours: boxing, running backward on a treadmill while going uphill, crunches, weights, pull-ups–it sounds brutal.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA: [Laughs.] I hate working out–I have to mentally push myself through it. I can get very whiny, saying things like, “I can’t do it!”

GLAMOUR: Does your trainer crack the whip when you get like that?

CA: No–I can’t deal with having someone barking at me. Mean training is not motivating to me at all; I like to be comforted [through my workout]. All my trainer has to do is say nicely, “I want you to do 200 bicycles; go right through it and don’t stop.” Then I’ll know she’s serious and I’ll do it. I started out not being able to do man push-ups; pull-ups were a big one too. Now I can do five in a row.

GLAMOUR: You look great, Christina. How quickly did you notice a change in your body?

CA: Being the perfectionist that I am, my attitude was, this had better hurry up–I want results! My trainer kept saying, “Give it time, you’re looking great.” Everyone around me was saying they could see a difference, but, you know, you’re hardest on yourself. I did see my stomach get flatter and tighter and more muscle definition.
