TVD: Episode 10 – The Turning Point

Another amazing episode of “The Vampire Diaries” aired on November 19, 2009. I’ve added screen captures of Katerina in a small part during the episode titled “The Turning Point” but as always she did fantastic.

If you missed it or feel like watching it again be sure to watch the marathon during the week of December 14 through December 18.

Episode 10: The Turning Point – Episode Summary: After reading the journal left by one of the Gilbert ancestors, Jeremy returns to his hobby of sketching. When Sheriff Forbes tells Damon there has been another attack, he offers to track down the killer and learns some information about the town’s founding families. Stefan and Elena come to a new understanding, but everything changes when Elena accidentally makes a devastating discovery.

Be sure to check out all 41 episode captures of Katerina as Bonnie Bennett.

Need CPR? “Trauma” is back

Derek-Luke.Net – This is exciting! :D

It’s true, Stefanie Coyote of the SF Film Commission tells me.

Three more episodes, at least.”We’re thrilled,” said Coyote, who was instrumental in bringing the production to San Francisco — the first major one since the days of “Nash Bridges.”

Reports first surfaced in the Hollywood online press Thursday.

What helped to earn the pickup? “A recent ratings rise,” says Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood.

There was other speculation, including the supposition that NBC “is short on inventory.”

Coyote, btw, says earlier reports that NBC had canceled the much-criticized show after its initial 13 episodes were false.

NBC’s ‘Trauma’ revived after cancellation

SAN FRANCISCO — Paramedic TV drama “Trauma” will be returning to the air after NBC reversed its decision to cancel the show, it emerged Friday.

The network has requested three more episodes after saying last month production would be halted after the initial 13-episode order, according to reports.

It has ordered additional material following a recent spike in ratings and may order more in the future if the show continues to attract viewers.

Despite high production costs for on-location filming and special effects, “Trauma” attracted just 6.9 million viewers for the season premiere and maintained less than a 2.0 rating shortly before cancelation.

It has faced strong criticism from much of the EMS community, with both NAEMT and the IAFC’s EMS Section sending letters to show producers protesting the creative direction of the drama and labeling it an “injustice” to those in the profession.

On Thursday, it was also announced that the show will air in the UK after cable network Virgin1 agreed a deal with NBC.

Katie Holmes, Elijah Wood, Dianna Agron and Adam Brody were all seen on the set of the upcoming romantic comedy “The Romantics“. The stars of the film were all dressed up as they were shooting what looked like a wedding scene.

Full-Length Trailer for Season of the Witch

Following up on the teaser trailer that appeared online last month, Lionsgate has released a full-length trailer for Season of the Witch, which hits theatres on March 19, 2010.

In Season of the Witch, Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.

A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl.

When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight’s pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.
